& ARRIVAL

Most international guests will fly into Brisbane before making their way down to Byron Bay. From Brisbane, Byron is about a 2-hour drive south, with rental cars, private transfers, and connecting domestic flights all available.

One important thing to keep in mind: because of the time difference and travel time, flights from the US usually arrive two calendar days later. For example, if you leave on a Friday evening, you’ll likely arrive in Australia on Sunday morning.

CARS & PARKING

Getting around Byron is easiest by car, and public parking is available throughout town.

Taxis and rideshares are available, though they can be limited later at night, so it’s worth planning ahead where possible.

Wedding day transportation details will be shared closer to the weekend, so make sure we have your email for updates.

Please note: Transportation will be provided to and from Fig Tree Restaurant on the wedding day. There is no parking available at the recovery brunch at Hinterland House, so we recommend arranging transportation ahead of time where possible.

MAKE A TRIP OUT OF IT

If you’re turning the wedding into a longer holiday, we’ve shared a few places we love below.

Australia's cultural capital and home to some of the country's best coffee, food, and nightlife. Equal parts artsy and sporty, it's the kind of city where you'll happily spend hours wandering without a plan.

Australia's wild island state, where dramatic landscapes, incredible wildlife, and world-class food and wine all come together. If you're looking to slow down and spend time in nature, Tasmania is hard to beat.

If you have the time, road trip the southern half of the South Island. Every few hours the landscape completely changes, from alpine mountains and turquoise lakes to rugged coastlines and dramatic fjords. It's one of the most beautiful drives we've ever done.
